Meth vs e85

Hey guys I have an 06 Wrx with a vf39 turbo, full exhaust, sti tmic, few other upgrades.
I am looking to get more power and want to know from people who run meth injection and people who run e85 and here some advantages.
Thanks in advance

E85 will make more power, problem with E85 is the inconsistency of it and then finding E85 is tuff.

What do you mean inconsistency.
There are a few places that sell it it's quite annoying...
Plus if your on a road trip are you just screwed?
What mpg can you expect from meth and e85?

What you using to test it?

I used to run E85 and currently run meth. For me, having to go through the hassle of finding and storing E85 got old REALLY quick. Forget about taking a road trip unless a) you carry all the fuel you need with you or b) plan your trip around the location of E85 stations. Good luck with both. Oh, and mileage? Drive around like a grandma and you MIGHT be able to squeeze 200 miles out of a tank. On meth I might go through 3-4 tanks of 91 before I have to refill my 2 gallon meth tank, depending on how aggressive I drive. I can't lie though, I miss how E85 smells like french fries.

Meth is not as safe as e85, even wish a fail safe I have seen it not work. Also most people inject it into the intake manifold next to the throdle body. It's inconsistent with getting meth to all 4 cinders, some kits have a tap for each and they are the best lots you can buy. But I say go e85 :)

Talk to your local tuner to see what they suggest as different tuners will prefer to run different setups. Also they can help you diagnose any issues with the problem on their dyno.

If you can run E85 and it won't interfere with your life in terms of where you need to drive and such, its definitely the better option. Meth injection just adds another potential point of failure that can destroy an engine very quickly.

What's the max torque you can get on ca 91?

Currently have a vf39 with all supporting mods.
Thinking about doing headers...
Any ideas? I want to push about 350torque

I have been curious about e85 lately too and have done quite a bit of research on it, e85 is safer than meth but it has a down side. if you run e85 (assuming you can find it regularly) you will get less gas mileage by far noticeably, and might not expirience any power gain, also you will need to tune your vehicle for it. e85 does NOT have a rating of 105 octane like many gas stations advertise it but it is actually closer to 95 octane. ill try to find the link that discuses e85 and post it on here later on. I hope I helped a little at the least

Still undecided but this is a ways in the future.

I was just faced with this decision myself. After discussing my options with my tuner E-85 was decided to be better for my application. Meth can be catastrophic if there is a failure in the system. E-85 does not have that point. I will be running a zietronics e-85 sensor so I will know exactly what the percentage is just in case I run into a bad batch. It will also assist with switching between e-85 if I absolutely have to.
