07 STi hitting 18 psi on stock map?
I have a married apv2 and I hooked it up to use the live data function since its still married to an 04 sti and it said i was boosting 18 psi. Isn't that high for a stock tune?
does anyone know why im boosting so high?
If the data is real, I'm going to guess that you have a non-factory UP or DP installed and are running it with a stock map, which would be a big NO NO.

No, stock downpipe with greddy ti-c cat back that's it
i believe the Ap can be married to only one car. the 2007 model uses a different Ap than the 2004
well it wouldn't matter, it is going to read the live data reguardless...
oh ok something is wrong have it checked out asap

I tend to agree with you, but there is the possibility that the ECUs from 2004 vs. 2007 require different calibration curves to interpret data externally (ie AP). Remember that the ECU is sending electrical pulses out to the AP, not necessarily a calibrated signal saying 'you are definitely at 18 psi'. The pulses have to be interpreted by the AP, so if the cal curves needed to read 04 vs 07 STi's happen to be different, it's not real. Super long shot, but worth considering from an engineer's standpoint. |
i'd say u are right about the possibility, i'd say he needs to find an 07 sti with an ap and check it again..
well i sent my ap to cobb today to have them unmarry it should have it back next week
make sure they have the firmware on it for the 07 sti...
I updated the firmware before I sent it back
was it for 07 sti or for 04 sti?
hook up a boost gauge and just check it out
