You could, but then you would have to take the downpipe off twice. You might as well do the porting when you do the exhaust.

Also, the porting issues seemed to only be needed for the earlier 04 STi's. Although some of the information I have read has been contradictory.
I have a full 3" TBE with hi-flow cat and ECUtek reflash and I did not need to port my turbo. I get slight boost spiking at WOT in cold temps, but it never goes high enough to trip the fuel cut and CEL and it only lasts for a fraction of a second. I have a later 04 STi (March 04).

i didnt know if boost creep was a prob when u put a tbe on a 05.. i figured it was the same as the 04, and most peps have the prob.. i have a cobb accessport coming but also i was wanting to run a cattless setup.. u said u had a high flow cat , i really dont need one. no emissions here...tn boy

Running catless may cause increased boost spiking, but I know of two 05's running catless with reflashes that are okay. You'll have to see how it goes.

thanks for the info .. theres not many sti owners around here , or none that i know of besides old peps that dont know even what they have.... also do u know anything about the aps dr series 3.5 exhaust? sound wise, performance.. i was wanting to get the best bang for my buck and ive read nothing but good things about it..

05sti still have to port for tbe???????
i was wondering if anyone with 05 sti s had a catless tbe on their car.... is the boost creep still a prob like it was with the early 04s... ive heard that its not that big of a deal with them so i would like to hear some peps that know for sure... thankx
