radiator question

I'm putting an aluminum radiator in my 04 WRX wagon this afternoon. Is there any specific coolant that needs to go in like a more high performance coolant? Or can the regular conventional coolant go in? just want to make sure i'm putting the right stuff in.

Use the OEM Subaru coolant and mix it with distilled water.

OK you can use regular prestone

you can use the OE subaru stuff thats old its green too

subaru now has a long life coolant its blue

it can all be mixed together

but when you mis only use distilled water or else tap water eats at the metal

I spoke to a tech at Royal Purple when I installed my aluminum radiator. He said if you want to use rap water you can, just let the water sit out over night. He says that the minerals that can harm your rad will disipate. I just went to the store and bought a gal of distilled for $1. I also used regular green Peak 100% coolant(not pre-mixed).

disipate where?

i would think the water would evaporate leaving the minerals behind

but what do i know i was a literature major
