Why you ask? For daily driving/noise. You can install a cutout at the bottom of the downpipe for a catless way to run your car, and be loud when you want to be. how much are they
oh yeah they are illegal in CA
?
how much more power do u get runnin an open downpipe vs a 3" turbo back?
omg that is awesome!
There are also some that when opened bypass the exhaust completely. They are normally installed around the bottom of the downpipe and allow one to run an amost open exhaust bypassing all cats and mufflers.

my father had something similar on an old chevy pickup. he had a quiet exhaust then one with straight pipes from the headers and glass packs. loud:eek: just hit a button in the cab and presto
were can i get one?
Where do they sell E-cuts at? How much HP or TQ does it give you on average?
Thanks |
Do a search. You should be able to fine some. I know there are two companies that are mentioned on this forum that sell them.
bump, for $200 are these cool or what? seems like it would be a fun mod to have :D
It really depends there are a couple of companies out there....QTP Performance is one of the few and there's even a Electronic cutout Muffler made by Xforce called the Varex, the cutout is actually build into the muffler. But I have yet to see anyone around here have it. Supposedly its pretty good and is remote controlled like the rest.
