P0031 CEL code -- anybody experienced this before?
Hello WRX warriors
I've a "P0031 Front oxygen (A/F) sensor heater circuit low input " CEL-code. I'm running a Stg 2 Cobb Tuning AccessECU w/ up+downpipe (1st and 2nd catless, but 3rd catted), and suspect it's a sensor gone bad (I kinda see the wires intact). Any of you had this before and what was the fix?
The sensors are quite expensive ($150+?) and I was hoping to get some advise.
Also, what's the scoop on warranty for sensors? 3 yr Subie warranty or subject to 5 yr federal emmisions equipment warranty? I'm not sure if bringing to dealer makes most sense esp the car is slightly modded (well - in a good way, of course)
Pls advise. Thanks in advance.

take it to the dealer the worst they can do is tell you no and void your warrenty. the denso is expensive with the plug but if you can splice and solder you can get a universal i think
Thanks for the advise. I ended up fixing it at the dealer and paying $370. Oh well... Because it had just come out of warranty, they charged me $200 for the sensor alone + labor + an outrageous amount to just pull the CEL code. But I was too annoyed w/ them and already late for work, so ended up have them fix it. I suppose I could have fixed it myself for around $190 if I ordered the sensor from subaruparts.com and borrowed the tool from AutoZone but just way too busy these days. Well, at least on a bright side, no more annoying CEL light and they fixed the 2 recalls and I didn't have to deal w/ them again.... well, hopefully. I would just have to live on peanut butter sandwich for lunch this month, I guess.
