A turbo back exhaust will not pass a smog inspection no matter what kind you get. As I've read and heard that you can't pass only with 1 cat. You can pass with 2 but not on a cold startup inspection. If you're worried about smog stuff then don't go with a turboback setup. If you have the time, just go ahead and get the turbo back and just swap in the factory downpipe when you need to go in for inspection.
