Well you buy an autometer EGT gauge, and also a probe. That will get you in the right direction...

Now you'll need to drill and possibly tap a hole in your passenger side manifold for the probe.

From then on out it's just simple electrical connections for the probe to the electronic sender to the gauge, and 12V +/-

If you have an aftermarket downpipe, it should have a bung pre-welded.

Not true at all. Not many including MOST do not have an extra bung for additional sensors. However a muffler shop in my neck of the woods charges $20 for a bung to be drilled and welded on to any pipe as long as it's taken off the car for them. Price goes up if they have to remove anything.

Hell, I thougt it was the MANIFOLD exhaust (engine)

Im not to worried about gettin a bung on the DOWNPIPE!!

Sounds good to me!!

Thanks all.

You can put a bung in your uppipe, downpipe or exhaust manifold. there are many opinions on where the BEST place to put it is.

If you want to tap into your manifold, I would recommend somewhere around cyl #3. There's a 'bump' vicinity of where you might want to drill. I tapped right through that bump.

Thanks Gpat,

I will proly take the easy way and go in the downpipe.

(Dont wanna pull the motor manifold off or have my dumass leavin drill shavings in it if I drilled while mounted!<G>)
