Ah do yourself a favor and leave the bypass valve on. Do you really wanna spend $200-300 to lose power? Spend that money on an up Pipe!

but see then again id much rather release all the excess pressure decreasing the chance of damaging the trubothen "up/down piping and increasing the cahnce"

Well how much boost are u running? If its under 20lbs you really dont need a BOV. You want your turbine wheel to keep spinning when u let off the throttle to shift, it builds momentum for the next gear.

... if i read correctly in your first post it says you have a wrx... if you have a wrx then youre making boost pressure...unless you have a boost leak or broken turbo which i am guessin is not the case

or i mightve read THIS post incorrectly...maybe youre not running any bypass(blowoff) valve?! whaaaaa?!

please help me understand what youre referring too, im confused and scared for you scooby

ok, first things first. adding a BOV to replace the stock BPV will not HELP your engine but rather make it run richer at times.....which is worse than not running rich. I'd suggest not touching the engine untill you do more research. If you want, I'm sure someone on here can go into a nice explaination of how it all works for ya.

Honestly, you don't need a BOV. It's all for the sound... and it just depends on what type of BOV. Maybe, if your pushing 20lb if not you don't need it. If you have a stock WRX just save your money on other stuff. ^.^
