Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

Deadbolt Speed TD05H-16G Modified Straight inlet or Standard 90 Degree Inlet?

Ok guys I have read a little bit about the deadbolt speed td05h-16g turbo and the only question I have left about this little sucker is regarding the inlet.

Here is a quote from deadbolt on their website: http://www.boostplanet.com/product2.htm

...this turbo came with a 90 degree inlet, which would not work with the later models of WRX. We offer this turbo with the 90 degree inlet, a modified straight inlet to fit later production vehicles, and a rotated inlet, for custom Legacy installations.
What type of inlet will be best for a 2003 WRX ?

...it can ONLY use the straight one......and get the 'BIG 16'.....it will ROCK your WRX....and get some 600cc or 650cc injectors....the 'pinks' will be a bit small

I have the non 'BIG 16" and it is just about maxing the 'pinks'...but the turbo is likely the best 'small' street turbo available.....really....get it 'MONSTERED'.....

Jerry...aks deadbolt...is a great guy....I've used several ofhis turbo's and jerry is da man

Where can i look at the "BIG 16" ? I dont see it on deadboltspeed.com. Is it the same as the Monster Ported 16G?

And how is this turbo on my engine, will it basically kill my car after a couple years? Or is this turbo somewhat safe on the engine?

I believe he could be alluding to the super16G. It's supposed to have the spoolup of a standard 16G, but with the top end near an 18G.
