iSR is the only one of those links actually selling aftermarket forged pistons, and they don't say what the CR is. Of the others, Rigoli seems to only sell short blocks and full rebuild kits, importperformanceparts.net lists only EJ25 pistons, raceeng.com doesn't list Subaru pistons, and sdsefi.com details pistons that were used to build an aircraft motor that were bought from JE- who do not list EJ22 pistons on their website.

Go to NASIOC, Rocky Montain forum, and ask around there. There are some crazy ****'s in CO who have built Legacy motors. Try also the Ultimate Subaru Mesage Board and Lachute Subaru for more help.

I forgot this one:

http://z1auto.com/10.02/ImpLeg/engine/rods.html
edit, whups those are rods. Nevermind.

Ask Rigoli, he'll give you a price on pistons themselves.
Call Import Performance Parts, they'll give you a price too.
Wiesco can and will custom make them.
JE custom made the pistons for that airplane, they can custom make them for your car.

Oh, while i'm at it, lets also add Crower, Ross, and Arias.

http://www.rosspistons.com
http://www.ariaspistons.com/contact.htm

pistons, pistons everywhere!

Glad i could help. Good luck too, that ej22 motor is just about the strongest thing subaru ever made.

Custom is good. I should have drawn that conclusion myself! Good work man.

I'd go JE or Wiseco right now, they have stock pistons for the 2.2

I think he wants even lower compression than stock.

Geeze, i know i sound like a search ****, but c'mon!

http://wac.addr.com/auto/obs/turbo/ejcalcs.html

stock compression is listed as 8:1.

Maybe he wants uber low compression for it's advantage of umm.. ummm... I dunno. 8:1 is pretty darn low. If anything, most of the turbo legacy guys that get aftermarket pistions keep the 8:1 but just get BETTER pistons, or they up it to 8.5:1.

Just a thought.

This isn't the 60's, no need for suber low compression, we have engine management to cope with FI needs. The compression I went with would depend on my hp goals. As with anything, there are compromises to be made with what ever your decision be it higher or lower cp.
