UTEC vs AP?

I would like something to smooth out my ride and get rid of the CEL's. I got a seller who has a UTEC that I am thinking of picking up.

What are the pros & cons of each?

I just have minor mods like catless UP and DP+axelback. But I would like to room to grow (e.g. bigger turbo, not anytime soon though).

TIA for your help and input!

UTEC is "old school" now. It's a piggyback

AP is a reflash

I understand that it's a piggyback off the ecu and that the AP is a reflash but why is one better than the other when the end result is similar?
