Limitations of stock WRX

Hello All:

I just got my 2002 WRX. I had a DSM for the longest time, but i wanted something new. So my question is what can the stock motor handle and what can't it handle? Like how many PSI can i run with the stock internals, with blowing something? Also is there anything tight might be WRX specific? Just wanted to get some feed back form people to see what they have done to do damage to there wrx and what they have done that didn't hurt it, so i don't do they same thing. Thats what the forums are about inforuming others, thanks for you time poeple.

on the WRX horsepower limits are imposed more by what the 5MT transmission can handle than by the engine internals. swap in an STi 6MT and you can handle a lot more power without blowing up the transmission.

Doesnt that tranny have real notchy hard shifts?

Also, where can you get one? How much?

The 6 speed has no problem with the stock WRX engine?

Check out rallispec.com they have the 6-speed swap availible. Will cost you around 8k though :(. The 6 Speed is a direct swap for the most part.
