GReddy E-Manage Ultimate
Anyone using it?
I just found out you can get rid of MAF sensor if you use it. That is something I would really much like to do.
Any feedback?

If you can one of these on ebay it be a much easier install and cheaper.Unfortunatly HKS has discontinued them but the still sell all accesories for them. http://www.hksusa.com/categories/?id=1921
I got the ultimate on my car for just 1 day, then had to take it back off. First there was no way to conect the dam thing to control indevidual injectors without a CEL coming on, then connected it the regular emanage way that would control all injectors at the same time and found out the car was bogging. I was told it's a software problem and it's only happening on the wrx/sti.

MAF to charge pipe? Nah, thanks. No way it will last in high pressure and oil conditions.
Mike, you can recalibrate the MAF readings if the MAF is in a 3.5" pipe? Will it still "work" right after recalibration?

So then when people and some tuners say that intakes don't do much and cause trouble it is bs then. My take on this is that of you have a nice intake with high flow filter and sheild (cold air) it will no doubt be better than stock. However, for it to work right, you must recalibrate the MAF. And, since it takes more time, tuners opt to NOT to do it.
Am I correct, Mike?

^^^ It seems that way
. But i believe that most intakes are stock maf size. I think its more about the turbulance caused by the cai bends/lengh. I think...
If you put it in the charge pipe would there be any negative effects because of heat? I have the Perrin big MAF and ive heard someone say that the MAF housing will heat soak and cause the ecu to pull timing. Is that true?
