Found FREE Codes Website

Hi All

I had a problem with my WRX. The Check Light was on the dash, so I had a look around the web for on how to read the codes.

Came across this site www.auto-diagnostic-codes.com

Has FREE code info on Engines, ABS, Auto Trans, Airbags.... for cars from US, European, Australian and Japanese and Korean vehicles.

I was able to follow the instructions to read my engine codes, and then type the code in the system.

Code came up as Code 31: Vehicle Speed Sensor or circuit

I tested and replaced the sensor, and that fixed problem. Just thought this website might also help others.

What year is your WRX?
All '96-up vehicles here in the US are OBDII compliant and require a diagnostic scanner to read codes. The procedures to read codes on earlier vehicles should work for those who have '95 and earlier OBDI systems.

Hi

My WRX is 98, and still has the male and female connectors under the dash to flash codes.
