do i need engine mang.?

i want to install a catback exhaust, and do the silencer delete, do i need an engine management? have 07 wrx, use 93 oct. live in Pa. any help would be great.
Also i tried to search for it, but came up empty.

I'm guessing you don't need em since it's only the catback and silencer delete. I'm no expert, but I think you'll be fine without it

What are your Goals?
Silencer has no sensor on it. Not even seen by the ECU.
Catback has no sensor on it. Not even seen by the ECU.
You want to make more power?
Get a flexable engine management.
Other MODS and uppipe, Catalist delete, get an ECU.
Most people here will steer you to get an ECU.
I think you've made your decision already and just looking to justify it.
Hope this will help.
At least your first Mod was not a Blow off valve.

yeah im not looking for more power, just want a better sounding exhaust, but didn;t know if it would affect the ecu. if i can go with a cat back and no engine mang. that would be my goal. my list of mods will be cat back, lowering srings, sways, and strut bars. Also will any catback fit or does it have to be 06 and newer?

You should be fine. Reset your ecu after you do the install. I got a cel when I took out my silencer. How much is the 93 in Pa?
