Chip vs boost control

I'm sure this has been asked before but I will ask it again. what are the benfits and down falls of a chip (like the unichip) vs. an electronic boost controller. whcih is the safer (for your engine) route to go. Thanks guys....

Its better to be smarter than you look than look smarter than you are

a boost controller allows you alot more flexability, you can turn the boost up to whatever you choose. Most chips, like the unichip are pretty conservative, and will only raise the a boost a few pounds, and still keep the mixture around 10-11 to 1 AFR to keep customers from popping the motor.

A unichip is much much more reliable than ANY boost controller.

Not only do you get better driveability, smoother power delivery, and of course more power. You also get better mileage. Well at least I did with my Vishnu Stage one map.

And more boost does not mean more HP

Boost controller = solid control of boost pressure.
CHIP = Complete engine control including timing, fuel, and boost control. The boost control in a chip is usually not as good as a good ABC (unless you get the UTEC). The chip will give you a lot more benefit. Get the UTEC for the ultimate in control.
