02 WRX Boost Controller
I am looking to get a Boost Controller for my 02 WRX. I know Electronic controllers are supposed to work better, but I have also heard the Turbo XS MBC is a good unit for otherwise stock setups.
Does anyone have a suggestion?

Electronic is more precise...BUT be careful where you mount it.
Keep it away from anywhere that might be prone to getting something spilled on it.
I have known a few people while I lived in Japan that had theres by the stereo and near the cup holders, well...long story short...drink spilled while racing, fried the boost controller...blew the engine....

id have to settle it in mortal kombat
i suggest getting engine management over the boostcontroller... otherwise your ECU and boost controller will fight.. i am sure many people can chime in here...
ecu wants x amount of boost but boost controller wants a different amount, so the two fight each other for their desired boost.
also i have heard of people hurting their engines with a boost controller... but if you really want one i have the perrin manual boostcontroller for sale... got it used, and never used it from suggestions of many different wrx enthusiasts..

I agree. The only thing I would perhaps change is the boost solenoid, an electric boost solenoid can help control boost better, but this must be tuned for with an EM unit
Our subies are not like evos, where you can just up the boost and make decent power. The ecu NEEDS to be re-mapped to compensate for the elevated boost levels

Hmm - I've pretty much accepted that I will have to buy an Accessport ($); I know on some cars the ECM can effect boost levels (wastegate) internally; is that the case for the WRX?
Frankly I've never been a big fan of using multiple components to "fool" the ECM when I can just effect to ECM directly.
