The Helix V3 downpipe incorporates all the popular features of the V2 downpipe with the addition of an external wastegate provision. This provision allows for external wastegate gases to be vented back into the downpipe. Helix also re-designed the bellmouth to reduce production costs without sacrificing the SS304 mandrel tubing, high quality TIG welding, etc. The end result is a better downpipe at a lower price.

The Helix Catted Downpipe incorporates Helix Power’s first-rate bell-mouth downpipe, with the addition of a 200 cell Metal-Substrate high-flow catalytic converter and thermal barrier heat-shield. The 200 cell Metal-Substrate downpipe has been tested by us to yield 7-10whp over the factory twin cats, while able to pass stringent California smog standards on the WRX / STI. The thermal barrier heat-shield assists in rapid warm-up of the cat for maximum efficiency and helping to reduce engine bay temperatures.

would i need to buy a cel fix for the catted downpipe?

 

the o2 sensor will still be getting a reading of gasses after the cat, so i don' t think you need a cel fix. at least that's how it was with my protege.

 

will this dp fit JIC 505 exhaust?

 

The DP actually comes with a free cel fix but we're currently backordered on the 05+ ones. We have all the other MYs though.

Yes it will (assuming the JIC 505 has a flat flange).

Will the catted dp fit a apexi ws catback?

 

Yes, the Helix DP will mate up to most any aftermarket exhaust system as most aftermarket exhaust systems have flat flanges and the Helix DP does as well. So any aftermarket exhaust with a flat flange will mate up to the Helix DP.

i was shipped a catted dp about a week ago and it did not come with a cel fix or turbo gasket. i was told that they were not in yet but they could ship the dp anyway. are those parts in yet? if not, any idea when they will arrive?

Sorry about that. The gaskets have just been loaded on a plane from the factory. Pending customs they should be here end of this week early next week.
