Sticky/soft clutch pedal issue

When letting my 07 wrx sit for about 5-6 hours I get an ongoing issue with my clutch. When depressing the pedal there is almost no pressure needed to push throught the freeplay. Once it past the freeplay when it actually disengages the clutch it is normal. When the clutch pedal is returning it will stop as soon as the clutch is engaged and not spring back all the way. I literally have to put my foot underneath the pedal and pull it up for it to return all the way. This will occur for about 10 minutes of driving and will gradually go away. Any ideas? I was thinking possibly air bleeding might help

Whoah, now thats weird. 07 is still pretty recent, so i dunno about getting a new clutch, but it seems like the pedal is the problem, not the clutch. Take it to a shop or the dealer might be a spring or something loose? =)

Can you elaborate on the "when letting my 07 wrx sit for about 5-6 hours" part? Engine on sitting? driving? or just off?

What I mean is engine off for 6 hours. I doubt it's a bad clutch as well it's got 43k on it. CheckEd the master and slave cylinder. Doesn't seem to have any residue around any of them. I still need to pull off the intercooler to verify that completely though.

I had this problem on my '99 Legacy a while back... Replacing the slave cylinder did it.
