Merry X-mas Suby dudes and dudettes! (my first post - woohoo!)
Santa forgot to get me a new STI for Christmas, (maybe it couldn't fit down the chimeney?) instead getting me a Kartboy short-throw shifter and bushings (from the wonderful Oakos.com).
I run outside in the rain, pajamas and all and spend the 30 minutes or so putting that baby in (short-throw, not the bushings - looks too hard for me). So there it is - installed - time for the cherry on top; my Momo/Subaru shifter ****.
I push down hard and start screwing - just doesn't seem to catch - seems slightly tight but can be pulled right off. Looking inside **** - the treads look to be deeper in than the stock **** and maybe the Momo slopes in a little? I dunno.
*Both the Momo and stock **** fit fine on stock shifter
*Stock **** fits on both shifters just fine (and is on now)
Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks,
Ron in Redwood City, CA

me again,
So - I'm going to take the car into a shop in Hayward - I forget the name, but seems like a nice establishment.
Didn't want to start a new thread - but the question is;
When taking car into the shop for bushings and hopefully to get **** fitted on - stock 03 WRX (with shifter) - and lets say I have a little extra dough burning a hole in my pocket ($350) - I'm thinking Helix flex uppipe. Good idea?
Yay or nay?
