5spd manual transmission problems? - MY05
 

well im thinking of gettin a MY05( the latest ) imprezza GX. The GX is the base model in case you didnt know. I would want it is manual. Which means this is the 5spd manual. I know that the old impreza's had problems wiht the manual, something about the clutch wearing fast, or something like that. Im not too sure what the problem was, but i think it resulted in having to chage parts of te manual transmission every few months. I was wondering if this weakness in the transmission has been solved. Becase if this is still a problem i dont know if i would bother wiht the car, unless there was a relatively cheap way to fix it. Id be willing to pay about $2000 to fix it if it if it is still a problem.
