Well, I just purchaced a used 2002 WRX wagon with 35,000 miles on it. Thought I got a good one, seemed to be in good shape, car fax came back fine, drove great, etc... went to have my car inspected to register it yesterday and the dealership I took it too (different then the one I purchased it at) said I needed a new transmission (covered under warranty at least). Does this seem a bit odd to anyone else?

I put in a K&N airfilter and I was thiking about a short shift kit, any suggestions?

He said he purchased it from a dealer, so he shouldn't have any problems.
