02 wrx transmission fail!!! need help!!!

02 wrx transmission fail!!! need help!!!
was getting on the freeway....shifted to second than my transmission sounded like it had rocks in it ....i lost all power and pulled it over......have no idea what has happened....i have a feeling it is not good!

about 120k on tranny.....have 2.5hybrid build with 16g...brand new exedy clutch with resurfaced flywheel......i just got the word it is toast......i need a 6speed

My Transmission Just blew out on my 02 wrx last night as well..I have no idea what I want to do, I have had this car for less than six months and have already had to put 2k into it, now this? Makes me want to replace the transmission and sell it. Don't get me wrong its a nice *** car..but I don't know what to do at this point

I have no idea, bought it from a dealership
Full Exhaust, Blouch 16g, perrin intake, Sti topmount, others I havn't found yet. And none done by me. Guess I learn lessons the hard way
^^ Yeah, sounds like the previous owner might have launched the car a bit and now you are suffering because of his poor care of the car. Don't sell it though. Rebuild or get a new transmission because if you sell, you lose. Might as well keep a car that you know you are maintaining properly.
