Thank you for the geological and geographic explanation.
Either way though if you look at any map of California it's pretty easy to see where the central valley is in Cali. It's the big green valley part in between all the mountains....really....it is. There is the Sacramento Valley and San-Joaquin Valley inside of the central valley. Literally, you could say anything north of where the grapevine begins all the way up to Redding. Obviously, though, anyone in the Sac area and North are going to gravitate to the Sac forum.

I don't know where you got this map from but the Grand Canyon is Not East of Lake Tahoe.

You know you're excited to see me more active on the boards once again. You should come to the Turlock meet on teh 27th : )

 

Not to beat a dead horse or anything, but I think you'll find that when we talk about the Central Valley, we assume a couple of things. We're not the bay area. We don't fit in with Sac. We're definitely not SoCal. What does that leave? It's an area that starts around Galt or Lodi, all the way down to around Bakersfield. Although as pointed out, Bakersfield while in the valley is pretty damn far down into SoCal. If you take it further, we can look at the lifestyles and attitudes of the people that live in these areas and I can say that there isn't much difference from Lodi to Fresno, including what some people insist on calling Bay Area teritory, the city of Tracy. (Which is BS btw. Tracy is/was a typical Central Valley city/town.)

To me, and maybe I'm just a person that judges a book by their cover, Central Valley folks are just different. Hence the reason why we need our own section... hahaha...

Ok here's one for ya'all.
So according to Woodward whoever shows up to the Turlock meet= automatically C.V. i-club.
So on a concurrent meaning....if I drive my Focus to the meet instead of the Rex does that mean my Focus is actually a Central Valley WRX?
