Noob question, rare for me...

Since i am now fully capable of working on my car solo, minus the engine teardowns and ecu stuff that is, i now have to post up a question. The one thing that has eluded me all along is really simple but i cant seem to get the answer for it......Where the **** do i place the jackstands for the best results when working on her. I made the first noob mistake of trying to use the little oval tubing that attaches to the suspension and chasis, im still sad when i look at it collapsed. I have been using the front two or 3 inches or so right behind that spot as it looked to be a subframe and supported well, but with time i see it wearing the undercoat down to metal, and it also looks like it might be slowly collapsing in, so where the heck is the best place to put it on stands? Piccys if you have them, a thousand words and all that....

there are the factory jack points. Four of em under the sideskirts.

There's many other points to. Kinda hard to explain them all. I've used all kinds of places. I use the factory jack points whenever possible though.

Yup, I use these. I forget where I jack it up from in the front (I mean, I know it when I look at it, but I forget what it is called), and jack from the rear diff in the... rear.

haven't touched the rear yet, though i am well aware of the diff being a good jack point. as for the factory side positions, all they seem to be for me is little tabs on the bottom, definitely not something i can set on a stand.

for the rear if your front tires are on the ground you can jack up both rear wheels off the ground buy jacking it from the right tow hook under the bumper

if you need it to go higher just use a 4x4 block on you jack plate to get some extra height
