This car has been my baby for the last couple of years, and sadly it's time to see her go. I need to pay for school and move forward with my life. Anyways, the car is a 98rs with a full 2005 STi swap. I bought a totaled 2005 Sti complete at an insurance auction. The Shell does have some minor dents, but nothing larger than a quarter, (probably could be pulled). I had the car repainted professionally in Evo MR gray. Im the second owner of the Shell and it has been a California car of its entire life (It has Zero rust). I did everything to the car myself with exception to the paint. I have never had any problems with the wiring. Everything works Power Mirrors, Sunroof, doors locks Etc... No CEL....

I have left the engine stock with the exception to a HKS turbo back exhaust, an HKS intake, and a COBB accessport for tuning. I recently took all of that off and got it CA Bar refereed and it pasted smog. So it's stickered and completely legal to smog it anywhere in the state of CA.
The car pulls pretty hard as is, wet weight of 2850lbs a couple hundred pounds lighter than your average Sti.
Engine, Drivetrain all the STi stuff has 35,XXX miles.
I don't know how many miles the shell has on it. Last carfax report before I gained ownership was 67,000 miles.
I have put 20,XXX miles on the swap without any major issues. I have done a few track days but honestly who wouldn't with this car.

Some interior pic's of the Dash fitment. The dash is as tight as I could make it with the 2005 HVAC system. Name: DSC01307Medium.jpg

And the car rocks!!
Nothing like driving "the exact speed-limit on well maintained, straight, federally supervised highways"* to help you get used to a new car! (*all possible sarcasm implied to the quoted phrase)

My thanks to Bfreeskier for being upfront about everything & for answering a seemingly neverending stream of questions.

The Bar Process wasn't all that bad. I just had to have everything from the 05 Sti in the car. I couldn't have a mix of 98 and 05 stuff. I had to get it inspected twice. I failed the first time because I had a CARB approved HKS intake with the sticker in place. The Inspector just didn't like the way it looked.... Took it in the 2nd time and passed without a problem. I did it at Butte College outside of Chico, Cost me 8.50 and that included the inspection and the Smog certificate. He didn't ask for receipts or anything. Good luck.
