Why are so many people selling their WRXs?

There will always be something better. I guess I just don't see the purpose of wasting all the money I have put into mods and paying the loan off to just get something new. I am sure there are a lot of other people who feel the same way. I am just suprised at how many used WRXs there are since they are such great cars!

Somepeople are selling it for the sti. Other people are just looking for a new car or upgrading to 04's. There are a lot of wrx's on the road now so why are you so surprised people are selling?

I rarely see any classified ads for WRX's in the NYC metro area- I subscribe to the NY Times and the local Gannett rag, and routinely peruse for used vehicles of interest. My 02 is still too new to even think about selling, and I am not sure my spouse of 47 years would take kindly to my getting a new one before I relace hers!

i boil it down to 2 major groups.
1 the trend hoppers who went out and leased/financed a WRX when it was the new big thing who are now bored and want a SRT neon or whatever they fancy as the new 'in' car....
2 the ones who really wanted an EVO to begin with but it wasn't available until now

those 3 letters will take a huge chunk out of the impreza camp in the years to come...

Remember the WRX was really just a "feeler" put out by Subaru to test the American market to see if it was "ready" for these types of cars filling a major niche gap in the market...
Now look what they've started....it's really GREAT!!!
Neons on Steroids, reintroduction of the rotory engine by mazda, pushed mitsubishi to finally bring the EVO over, Mini's painted like the General Lee, VW's on crack on the way over from Der Vaterland...its all good...

I've thought about selling my 13k mile WRX-I have tons of mods uninstalled and am about to buy more ish. Im going back to school soon though, and wanted a low maint car. A car I could leave alone save for a full suspension and wheels. But I'm full of sh-it I'd mod it, I couldn't even stop myself. So I just kept my WRX because-I can make it reflect me better because there are more things I'd do to it. I'll be more unique ultimately, plus it's paid off.
