i just heard on the news that the national average for gas is $3.01

this seems lower than what i've seen here in washington. what is everyone else paying for premium? and what is the price for 87?

I just paid $6.44 per gallon for Sunoco 100 octane unleaded, which is much higher than most places that carry race unleaded. I didn't price the premium grade, although that's what I normally use. I'm in Sacramento CA.

I split off your post from the Official Gas Mileage thread because it was off-topic.

I pay around $3.10/gal. of premium in Hunterdon County, NJ. Kinda sux. I think it gets a little (and I mean a LITTLE) cheaper as you go further South in Jersey.

I think buying the KY Jelly so the politicians can **** us all adds to the cost of 3.41 a gallon.

Something needs to be done about this because there is no reason a CEO should make a 10 billion dollar profit in one year, with the other two leading fuel companies around 7.5 and 6 billion in profits.
