New Mazda RX8, ...different

I read about the rx8 in autoweek today. I'm not even sure it was a current issue, but the writers say its no longer a sports car. Have you seen it? To me its Mazda zoom zoom all the way, yet mature and curvacious. Lets hear your thoughts.

I went to their focus group(?) for their marketing team - where they pay you $$$ at the end of the session.

I got to see the pre-production in person and got to sit in it woohoo

anyway, i was impressed with it especially considering the target price is at below $30k. everyone there was so stuck on "4dr can't be sports car", but it sure felt like a sports car when i sat in it. besides, I dont really consider those 'rear doors'. To me, overall appearance and feel definitely screams sports car!
remember about 10yrs ago when Nissan was pushing the Maxima as 4dr sports car with "4DSC" sticker on the window?

I don't...base = 30k
and there's a bunch of expensive options
I'll take a 350z instead

I'll take the rotory thank you. there is nothing like revving to 9,000 rpm... they are supposed to release the succesor to the RX-7 shortly after the RX-8 debut. I'll take both.
