max WRX HP
what is the most hp you could get out of a WRX with out doing a major engin over hall IE bore out the motor pistions rods and so the car wont blow up.
trying to win a bet that subbys can get more power then turbo eclips awd

yup you probably lost that one............ now one issue we may not be too sure about are parts and knowledge. There are a hell of a lot more people that have been working on eclipses than subarus a lot longer and there are a lot more parts available

hahah you lost that bet. Without changing the internals on the EJ20 the 4g63 is a stronger engine. Even if you look at the specs the Evo runs 19psi out the box while the STi doesnt even run 15psi.
In the 99 Eclipse GST my friend has he is running 17psi and has no problems at all other than he can Light up the fronts on demand. The Inline engines tend to have more HP potential vs the Boxers. Both engines are great though =o)

Ouch man! Yeah... pull out if possible.. it would suck if you had to lose to the bet. Definately those eclipses can hella boast their HP before the original stock motor of a WRX can meet up with it.... It's just more powerful with stock internals...
