Lucas Oil Stabilizer, Good/Bad/?
Anyone have any facts on lucas oil stabilizer, is it good or bad? I've been using it every oil change and never had a problem....

Judging by the 'testimonials' at the product site it sounds like a viscosity modifier. Higher oil pressure alone is not a good indicator of better protection for your engine.
I'd stick with the recommended oil and change interval for your WRX. If you want to spend more money, I suggest using one of the readily available synthetic engine oils. I use Mobil 1 5W-30 which has good cold start characteristics but provides more protection than conventional motor oil at higher temperatures. I imagine that other name brand synthetics perform well, also. -- 0==WW==0 "…axles of evil…" - george w. bush |
I heard it works if you have some minor oil leaks or valve clearence problems. But if your car is new, just stick with a good synthetic oil, like the mobil 1.
