Buying a STI

I'm thinking of buying a STI(for about $20K). Problem is, it sounds like it's in REVERSE gear when driving foward. Can anyone tell me what this means? I know it's messed up, but how bad. 2005 STI, 31K miles

It means you want to find another STI. I wouldn't bother with the one you're looking at.
