I like it. The side view looks nice.

300 hp + 6 speed + RWD + <3000 pounds + BMW build quality = good. Who cares what it looks like. Remember the Mcoupe?

I don't think it'll happen. Doesn't fit Toyota's marketing strategy. They aren't about performance anymore.

That's not really a good selling point....the M-Coupes came, went, and are loooong gone.....mostly because they were dang expen$ive and even more so.....FUGLY.

It's undeniable that the overwhelming factor that car buyers consider when making purchases is looks/appearance, especially as sticker prices go up!

True. If I may paraphrase a recent quote, a Toyota exec said "I really feel that the Celica and the MR2, along with Toyota's involvement in F1 and CART really show Toyota's commitment to the performance sector"

Ah man, I loved the way the M Coupe looked. If I had the money, I would have bought one in a second.

The point I was making was that the M coupe was probably the single biggest performance bargain of the 90's, even without the super duper 3.2 liter motor. It kicked ***, and now they are putting a superior drivetrain into a very similar sized car. If I had a moderately high budget for an off-the-shelf track car, the only thing I'd take over the M2 is a Lotus... but what if you wanted to use the car those other 28 days a month?

M2= teh winnar. It will sticker for a little less than $40k, same as the Lotus.

When form follows function, it always looks better than the opposite.

not to beat a dead horse, but LOOKS DRIVE $ALE$, most definitely among the image conscious, BM'er crowd.

Sure, the M2 might be a stellar performer, but if its appearance does not capture car buyers' hearts & emotion$, it won't do very well........Z4 anyone???
