You know why my dog is better then your dog? My dog eats TREES

Real life photos taken this past weekend. His name is Chopper and he actually belongs to my sister but he's our family doggy. He was rescued from a dog fighting house when he was a tiny puppy. The people who previously had him cut off his ears with scissors and he had cigar burns all over his body and would have been trained to fight other dogs if he had matured enough but fortunate for him and us he was just a couple of months old and doesn't remember any of it. My sister took him in and taught him not to be scared of humans anymore (he was scared to death of people from the abuse that he suffered from the bastard gang bangers but was so young that he quickly overcame that and became a very friendly and docile dog). He's one of the friendliest dogs that I've ever met... He listens well and loves all people and wouldn't ever bite or attack anyone, but he has a weird fetish with basketballs/soccerballs/sport balls where he gets a hold of the ball and pops it in a single bite. Yes, a full size basketball made of leather falls victim to his jaws in under 10 seconds. His newest thing is eating trees as you can see in the pictures below. He made minced meat of this tree limb faster then I could have cut it with a saw!

His name is Chopper and he's an American bulldog and weighs around 120lbs. His head is HUGE and he's made of pure muscle. Even his head is made of muscle! If you feel his head you can feel the solid muscle on top of his head which is crazy!

He's a gentle giant but loves to pop basketballs and eat trees (we discovered that he likes to eat trees this past weekend and didn't want to disturb him while he did that, lol)

(First in the series of 4 photos when he first gets ahold of the tree

He gets comfortable with it and starts going at it

This shot shows the tree quickly falling victim to the massive jaws of Chopper

In this final shot you can see that the tree was no match for this American Bulldog (Chopper).

false advertising..thats a jade plant, thats not a tree. my wang gets harder then one of those.

strong looking dog tho, he looks like hes from the movie sandlot.

also, i was hoping for a 30ft redwood or something.

ruehl 04-20-2010 12:40 AM

i would keep him locked up during earth day, he would have a field day at one of those tree planting events

Yeah, it wasn't a redwood or anything, but the speed in which he ate that thing was incredible! You should see what happens when he gets a hold of a full size high quality basketball... OMG, one bite and he pops it. There's been more then one occasion where we had to pay people because the dog went after their soccer/basketball/etc at the park. Poor guys are playing basketball when all of the sudden some white streak comes out of nowhere and pops their ball and then runs away... We keep cash handy in case that happens...

HAHAHA awesome!

Your dog looks a little over weight.
Too many trees?

My golden retriever puppy eats trees. He's just about skinned and chomped away at the tree in my backyard.

I wonder if it has to do with his stomach. I've heard before when dogs eat grass its to calm their upset stomach. Maybe his stomach is really bugging him and he needs more than just a few blades of grass :)

PikkaGTR 04-20-2010 08:15 PM

thats crazy
atleast he's not chewing up your furniture

UgLiEz 04-20-2010 08:30 PM

So I gotta ask. Does he REALLY like to eat trees? Or did you have a gun to his muscular head in the photo's you wont post?

nope

mine eats cars. i dont have picks, but my in-laws came up and w/in 10 minutes, one of our Big white dogs (BWD's or Akbash is the breed, do a search) literally chewed the entire fender well. like teeth holes/marks from the front bumper to the rear mud flap. $1500 in body work.
