UCLA in the final 4. Stanford elite 8.

Lakers are still really good. Warriors are on the bubble.

California has a fine athletic tradition at all levels.

Tiger Woods is out of Stanford. etc.

Stanford lost two dominant post players and a head coach, I wouldnt expect them to be any good this year.

People say that about stanford most years. Lost childress. Lost the twin towers a few years ago. Etc. I think both lopez's are leaving too early myself. Especially Robin. But I think it's probably a good idea for robin to enter with his brother so he doesn't risk being exposed.

That's why I like college... recruiting. Have to wait and see. Depends on the class of guys they're bring in and I think Goods is gonna have a fine year averaging more like 18 a game. I think Owens is gonna step up this year too. More like 8-10 a game. Solid shooter. Decent defense and rebounding.

We'll see. I'm not really a fan of stanford but I do follow them to support my local teams...haaa.

I'm originally from socal.

Thier guard play is substandard and losing the coach, and his recruiting, will have a much harsher impact than losing the Lopez twins in the long run.

good point. and true.

I don't think they're gonna do much without a couple of stand out recruits but I don't think they'll be catagorized as terrible. Be out in the first this year probably but they'll make it. But hell who knows. Maybe Cal will take advantage and move above them.

Johnny Dawkins should be able to hold his own and recruit well based on his duke years and the olympics.

Jon Gruden???

I honestly don't think Kiffin was ready to work under someone like Davis. Under someone else I think he'll be fine but he just doesn't have any confidence in himself or his players. There is no reason they should have lost the last two games. He gets to conservative in key situations. Of course this was a problem with all of the previous coaches so I think its coming down from the top. Screw Davis.

Kiffin will probably take over at one of the other places that just canned their coach and do just fine.
