Calm down, tiger. Insurance has nothing to do with the police. It has everything to do with how much/often insurance companies have to deal with claims on a particular car. You get a car that people think they are invincible in (i.e. WRX) and crash regularly and rates go up. It's a risk vs. reward thing for insurance companies. Your 'rant' is just plain stupid. Insurance rates have less to do with power/engine size/where the car was built than they have to do with how much those cars cost the insurance company.

im just sayin im tired of hearing these things

Next time you see a Subaru Impreza WRX in your review mirror, get out of its way. Speed up. Slow down. Pull over to the side of the road and let it pass. Whatever it takes - just get away from it. If you don't, you may regret it--------------lmao

It will continue as long as the cars get cheaper and the kids keep driving them. It's not just Subarus.

Is that some type of threat to other drivers? I don't get it.

Naw Unit 91, he was just quoting the opening text from the article in question. Quite funny, albeit dismaying, when i read that article.

found that the WRX could cost nearly $600 more per year to insure than a comparable Ford Taurus. Compared to a Taurus....

Yes, because people driving those cars probably drive slower, are older and have less claims.

eugenile 09-28-2009 05:31 PM

this was the best..
That may ultimately be the problem with the WRX - it's not the car, it's the people who drive it.
Guess they've been browsing these forums..
