Where to go this weekend?

So I want to get away this weekend but don't know where to go...

There is the rib cook off at Reno and would like to go... but that's just really an afternoon thing and I don't gamble. Where else can I go around Tahoe/Reno area? I mean, I drove around the lake a few times but nothing too spectacular about it. I thought of Crater Lake, but damn it's far.

Any suggestions? Where you you guys going this weekend?

How about Clearlake? It's only a few hours north of you, California's largest natural lake, plenty to do up there during tourist season.

Max, that would be nice, but I am not going alone. And if we have to go 'away', we would need more than just a backpack...

I saw a cool day/camping trip that isn't much of a hassle is pt reyes, but as far as staying somewhere either make your way down the coast, or towards tahoe.........find a cheap cruise online for like 200.

If you don't like gambling, there is always the Mustang Ranch. But seriously, you can always go clubbing or catch a movie or whatever else if the gambling isn't a big draw.

BTW, the Rib Cook-off is so worth it. I'll be there Saturday. Actually, I'll probably go tomorrow too, for my lunch, hah.

As for drives around Reno, the only ones I can recommend will be clogged with Burners this weekend

Leo....d/l and try a program called sidestep. i use it for all of my vacation/travel.
its kind of like orbitz or the other travel sites that search for the lowest price....but sidestep searches ALL of them plus all the major companies and then lists everything out for you.

ive never been on a cruise i will someday
