RAISE my car! WTF! I don't want that.. As asked in my OP, maybe you'll have the answer, how long do you think GR2s will last with mach v lowering springs? Will they cause any harm? I'll take picks of the stance of my car after work to give an idea on how low it sits compared to stock.

I'm aware that 9.5/10 people think they are going to be trash, but hey, you never know until they actually get used and tested by an enthusiast.

I honestly have no idea. The valving in them is different than stock. I bought mine with 10k on them already and ran them with JDM STI V7 Pinks and they only lasted an additional 20k miles on my car. When I took them off all 4 were completely dead. The piston rods went in but didn't come back out.

Why bother starting a thread and asking for advice? If you just want to spend as little money as possible and don't care about the ride quality or handling, get whatever crap you want. Racelands will let you lower your **** so you can stuff some big wheels under the fenders and hang out in parking lots, so they're perfect if that's what you're into.
Those raceland and fortune auto coilovers have been on the market for years at this point. You still can't find a good writeup about the quality? WONDER WHY?

The guy with megans just daily's it, I think hes driven in the mountains maybe twice so not even 100 miles. The KYB's would only be 310 shipped to my door. As far as konis go, can you(or anybody) provide me with everything I need to run the koni setup on my 2004 wrx. I've got stock tophats/struts and mach v lowering springs. I don't know if its relevant but I'm running 234/45/17 on 17x8 2011 WRX rims.
Thanks for al the info heedz

Hack saw - You'll be cutting up your old shock
White out/something to mark the shock with - To mark where you'll be cutting and drilling.
Something to measure with - To measure where you'll be cutting and drilling
Drill/drill bit - You need to drill out a hole in the bottom to bolt the Koni into the created sleeve.
Somewhere to put the old shock oil
(optional) D_Rex Koni extenders - D_rex Koni strut exten
You'll be cutting way above the spring perch, so you'll have no issues with your springs as long as they use the stock perch.
yeah, I cant find any for 600 like heedz was saying but he had a leggy so he was probably going off that. I cant fork out for than $500, I am considering being the test dummy on the racelandus coilovers just for the f*ck of it. I know they will most likely go to crap in about a year or two but by then I'll have spare cash to drop on some other suspension parts.
KONI Sport Yellow Shocks - Koni Yellow Struts - Koni Inserts
If you can't fork out more than $500, and you think that only your rears are blown, why not just get the Konis for the rears today and the fronts later? You'll save the $500 you'd be spending on the coilovers in the long run, and if you're already kind of low on cash, that'll go a long way overall.
Also, just a note to anyone thinking of cheaping out on suspension. Koni and Ground Control have LIFETIME warranties on the products. If you're going to keep your car for a long time, that's something to consider.
