I love how restrained and all polite Zoeb is these days! When I joined he was chief sh*t disturber lol

In order to be fair and unbiased, I looked in the Fremont neighborhood on CL in order to find somewhere that my commute costs would be negligible. My cell phone bill is $30/mo. prepaid wireless as I don't use a lot of data, and use my phone very little anyway...more as a tool than an entertainment device. Car payment? On my 1998 Subaru Forester S with nearly 300,000 miles on the odometer? Surely you jest.
Car insurance? Mentioned in line 3, and budgeted for with a $50/mo. payment.
My health insurance premiums are considerably higher than the $100/mo. quoted, however. Being my age gets really expensive to live...and more expensive to die.
I was just posting my own commentary after hearing all of the reports of how SF and other major cities in the Greater Bay Area are looking at making $15/hr. the minimum wage. I could see living on that wage, if I were single, renting a room, and merely surviving.
I worked there for 3 years and it was great. Super flexible and worked right around my school schedule.
The idea that it should pay more because of personal expenses is stupid. There are other jobs around, and not only that, less expensive places to live. Where you live is a choice, where you work is a choice, how you choose to budget is a choice. If the bay area is too expensive then move. Pretty ****ing simple. No one has a right to live in a particular place.
$10/hr job obviously isn't supposed to be a career around here...
