Wheel is in bad shape, need recommendations!
So I took my girlfriend's 1997 outback limited into the shop yesterday for new tires and alignment and they told us that one of the wheels is compromised and unsafe. My question is, if I bought a rim that is the same size (but not oem), will weight differences between the wheels cause a problem for the driveline? The stock wheel size is 15" with a 5x100 bolt pattern. I'm trying to get her car ready for a drive down to Santa Barbara on Sunday so I really appreciate any help on this!
If in doubt, FLAT OUT

I'm not sure if that will work because the new tires we just bought are 205/70R-15, while the recommended tires for the 2000 legacy L is 205/60-15. I'm not wheel/tire expert so I can't say for sure. I pmed the guy anyway though so thank you for your help 04GG.

Just take the steelies and swap the tires from your outback to the new wheels. Problem solved.
The steelies themselves should work fine.
