What tire did you buy after your RE070 died

I'm just about to the point on my stocks tires I have 24xxx on them now and a nail in the right front. Just wanting to know what the Bay Area is running. Did you go to a bigger size?

Bf Good Radial TAs, then Talons (Generic, loud as hell on the freeway sounds like a monster truck) , Now Toyo Proxies4 which are my favorites of the bunch. But I like long lasting daily driver tires. If you want some nice track/street I hear Falkin Azenis are the ****.

I got kumho ecsta spt 245/40/17 on 17x9's. Love the tires. Decent dry grip, fantastic in the rain.

I got the Falken Zeix 512's and ran them for winter. While a decent rain/snow tire they suffer from the sidewall feeling like "rubber bands" with a lot of flex. they grip, but they fell like they want to "wash out" at times. I am back on another set of 070's until the rainy season starts here in Nov and i will source some more cheap 512's.

how do you guys get so many miles on your RE's. I got like 8,000-10,000 out of mine and was showing wires.

I got Proxe 4's. I'd probably get the 615's if I was doing another summer tire.

For cheaper tires..you might want to look into evo take offs

advans a046s...they are almost R-comps...a good set can be had for $400-450

Khomo MX. Not as grippy as the RE070 and didn't last as long. I'm on the RE01-R. Best street tire ever! I think Tirerack is having a special on the 225/45R17 size.

Yup $125 a tire or something. Was looking at that... but not in the market to buy tires yet.
