Hey, trying to figure out what this silver box is that sits next to the power steering reservoir:

These are two different year cars but looks like the same part.

If not, Anti lock brake pump. Do yourself a huge favor, don't mess with it.

lol, yes ABS. Should be obvious by the lines.

These cars aren't all that fun to drive on the daily without ABS... trust me.

Thanks for the answers! I wasn't "trolling"... not even sure what that means tho. Got a 03 wagon with a some front right end damage and this abs pump is pushed a little off of it's original position. Trying to see what parts/cost is expected.

As long as it is working, I wouldn't mess with it. Go out on a road (someplace dead end, no houses) get up to 40-50, and jump both feet on the brakes, MASH THEM, you should feel it start to pulse under your foot.

If so, you are good.
