Upcoming Depeche Mode concert? Anyone know anything about it?
I saw a billboard on 101 a few months back about Depeche Mode coming to concert in SJ soon, but I can't find a thing about it anywhere. One of my friends said it was cancelled but he didn't know for sure.
Anyone in the know? was the show canceled? I'd really love to get tix since I really like their music and to get my sister a ticket for her bday since its her fav band of all time.
Sorry to start a new thread about this since I mentioned it in the concert thread but I'm desperate to see them and I figured some of you guys would want to go as well.

from their site
My guess is that Dave broke his hip. He's been lookin' pretty old the last couple of times they have come through the Bay.
This is my wife's favorite band. She cries every time she sees how old they are now.

DEPECHE MODE FORCED TO CANCEL APPEARANCE AT SHORELINE AMPHITHEATRE IN MOUNTAIN VIEW ON AUGUST 12TH DUE TO DOCTOR'S ORDERS FOR VOCAL REST
(August 11, 2009) Depeche Mode has been forced to cancel their scheduled appearance on Wednesday, August 12th at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California due to doctor's orders that lead singer Dave Gahan be on complete vocal rest for 48 hours. Because of their busy schedule, a new Bay Area date will not be rescheduled this year.
"San Francisco is one of the most important cities to the band and we are devastated that we have been forced to cancel this date," said Dave Gahan. "We hope to be back soon to play for all of our fans in the area."
Refunds will be issued at the point of purchase.
