Hey, I'm new here but have been longtime NASIOC member.

I have a '12 WRX hatch I've owned since new. It finally hit 100K last week so it's time to do the timing belt. Are there any good shops in or near SF I can trust with this kind of job? Reasonable rate would be nice too since dealer wanted something like $3K for it which is ridiculous. Thanks!

 

$3k sounds about right these days unfortunately. Even back in the day there were no really good Subie dedicated shops that I recall and the other good one LIC in Novato is gone. RBMS in Hayward I have used for timing belt in the past and he did it quick, cheaper than the dealer and did good work.

 

I have always had my WRX worked on in Mountain View at Auto Headquarters.
