Subaru is giving away free baby sequoia redwoods
I went to get an oil filter yesterday at Stevens Creek Subaru (Only because they have the sexiest parts manager alive!), and when I went to go pay I noticed a box with baby trees that were packaged in little bags with "Share the love" ad campaign, instructions on how to plant it, etc.
I grabbed two, the lady at the counter told me to grab as many as I wanted.
I came home, flushed the organic soil I made last month, adjusted PH of my water, areated the soil, and bam. I thought it was really cool of Subaru to do this.
Here they are in their new temporary homes (Until spring).

That's cool! 32 years ago when I was almost 5 I planted a Douglas fur in Oregon and last year when I went for a visit I couldn't believe how huge it got. I got mine from smokey the bear 
one thing I miss about home is the lack of trees and lawns etc that are seriously missing here pretty soon the whole area is going to be pavement.
