STIs: What kind of gear oil do you run in your tranny?

Car Info: 97' Dodge Cummins and an RSTI thingie
Well after reviewing the benefits and risks, I've decided to go with Subaru Extra S, partly because I've read nothing but good things about it, a lot of shops prefer it and I can get 5 quarts for 55, and I got quoted for $20 per quart for Motul 300.

Anyone know where to get the extra S locally? I called Albany and Marin Subaru and they didn't even know wtf I was talking about.

Maybe try one of the two vendors that recommended the Extra S in this thread?

If you are planning on tracking your car you really should stump up the cash for the best fluids available.

I don't necessarily agree that higher cost is always better. According to some posts on nasioc people had problems with first gear using motul when its cold, and everyone's said they haven't had any problems with extra S.....

And yes Brian, I did call about it and I'll be buying it tomorrow
