Stage 2 Stealth Setup
What is the stealthiest setup for AP stage 2. My setup right now is just a SRS catback (w/ silencer)... but with all the cops out pulling all the tricks to gain revenue her in the North Bay (bay area) I don't even know if I want to risk the ticket, I'm broke.
Any suggestions on a downpipe that a leo would never notice or is that relatively impossible around here. I don't care about making the MOST gains, I just want something that is super stealth for stage 2 and even if I got pulled over with a hood pop he wouldn't notice a thing.

I used to have an Invidia catless DP and 3" catback, but had to remove both for smog purposes. I was thinking of putting the downpipe back on with a converter, to allow the DP to mate up properly with the stock catback. I think it will be close in power to my old setup, but way quieter. Isn't the consensus that a catback doesn't make much of a difference anyways?

I imagine the stockest looking downpipe would actually BE a stock downpipe, but gutted. You could probably pick up another stock downpipe for pretty cheap and go to town on it, you'd probably get near the flow of an actual catless DP too.

Ok, Thanks for all the suggestions. So could I theoretically gut a stock DP and leave my SRS catback with silencer on and reflash to cobb stage 2?
I think the biggest thing for me is if I get popped for the SRS not being stock (or too loud)... I don't want the leo to see a non stock DP as well and get me for modified emissions with a trip to the state ref and a hefty fine. Modified exhaust is dealable, modified emissions... rather stay away from that.
What is the smoggability of a catless gutted dp?

the real best setup is going to an upgraded turbo while running meth, on the stock exhaust and keeping stock tmic.
The meth will help with the cooling and also reduce IDC so you can run stock injectors, and meth kits are fairly stealth to an untrained eye.
i know a guy with a vf30 + meth on EVERYTHING ELSE STOCK and he basically made the same power as a pump gas stage 4 car (vf30 with all supporting mods)
Basically 100% sleeper. one-hundred-percent.

I made my own stealty downpipe. Bought a used stock STi downpipe and replaced the cats with high flow metal substrate cats. Still has all the heat sheilds.
