So what are you guys doing this Saturday? (Halloween)
What's the official plan for this weekend? Anyone doing anything fun? Going out? Staying in?
I have some close friends heading up here on Friday from Southern CA... We're setting up a haunted house for some kids at my sisters house... This is our 5th year (I think) and we get HUGE crowds! People specifically come out to S-13th street just for the haunted house thing we put on for the kids. All the neighbors have since followed suit and have been doing a lot to attract kids, so if you're interested and have nothing to do, head out to South 13th street in SJ, You can't miss it.
Afterwords we're all heading to Mua in Oakland. It's a very artsy industrial restaurant/Lounge/Bar with live DJ's, EPIC food, great music, and is throwing a huge halloween party on Saturday. I highly recommend this place to EVERYONE! The Sashimi that I had there last week was by far the best I've ever had in my life, and that says a lot since I'm a sushi snob. Prices for food are anywhere from $6-20ish. They have this mac and cheese dish that looks and tastes EXACTLY like mac and cheese, only it contains NO CHEESE! Even if you don't go for halloween, I recommend checking it out sometime. Kitchen is open till 1am on Fridays and Sat, and midnight on other days. If you eat there it's free to get in, otherwise I think there is a cover charge.

Insane party at my friends house.
We got some work done this weekend - synched up the LED pumpkins and lights to match our 46 song Halloween list, finished our robotic ghost, got done painting the UV signs, making the grave posts, arranging the pirate props and buying 150 beers.
4 costume contests, 9 drinking games, 3 beer pong tables, 100+ people...yeah...it's on.

On a side note, is it me or are there less and less trick or treaters every year? I dunno if its just my area or the mass media scare of stuff in candy, children getting kidnapped and kids doing stupid dangerous stuff, But the turnout the recent years have been way less than the late 90s.
