I forgot to mention I've got a warranty and the timing belt is covered so if thats what it is.. I'm hoping we are good!

I'm gonna call later today and see if I can bring it in. I just have to bring it to any certified mechanic. It's not a subaru dealer warranty.

If you have a warranty take it in, don't rip into the motor, take it to a shop and have them open it up and discover whats wrong.
